What Is Spiritual Healing — And How Does It Actually Work?
March 5, 2026
Spiritual healing is not one thing. It is a vast landscape of practices, traditions, and modalities — all working toward the same essential truth: that we are more than our bodies, and healing can happen at every level of who we are.
When people first come to me, they often arrive with a version of the same question underneath whatever brought them here: *Is this real?* Can energy be moved? Can a soul be retrieved? Can a candle flame carry a message? Can the body heal when the energetic root of its illness is addressed?
I understand the question. We live in a culture that, for the last few centuries, has drawn a sharp line between the material and the spiritual — and placed medicine firmly on one side of it. Spiritual healing asks us to hold that line more lightly. Not to abandon medicine, but to recognize that the human being receiving medical care is also an energetic, emotional, and spiritual being — and that the full picture of healing must account for all of it.
What Spiritual Healing Is Not
Let me begin with what spiritual healing is not, because the misconceptions here are real and they keep people away from help that could change their lives.
Spiritual healing is not wishful thinking. It is not the suggestion that you can think your way out of illness, or that suffering is a failure of belief. It is not anti-science, anti-medicine, or anti-rational. It does not require you to subscribe to any particular religion or theology. And it is absolutely not a promise of cure.
What it is — in all its many forms — is an engagement with the dimensions of human experience that conventional medicine does not yet have adequate tools to address: the energetic body, the emotional body, the soul's history, the ancestral field, the patterns that live below conscious awareness and drive health, relationship, and circumstance in ways we cannot explain but unmistakably feel.
The Layers of a Human Being
Most healing traditions — Eastern and Western, ancient and contemporary — recognize that the human being exists on multiple levels simultaneously. There is the physical body we can touch and measure. There is the emotional body that carries our feelings, our wounds, and our relational patterns. There is the mental body — our beliefs, narratives, and the stories we tell about who we are and what is possible. And there is the energetic or spiritual body: the luminous field that surrounds and informs the physical, carrying the deeper imprints of trauma, soul loss, and ancestral inheritance.
Spiritual healing works at all of these levels — sometimes separately, sometimes simultaneously. And because these levels are not separate systems but one integrated whole, healing at any layer can initiate change in all the others.
The Modalities — And What They Address
The work I do draws on several distinct traditions of healing, each with its own lineage, its own intelligence, and its own particular doorway into the whole.
**Energy Kinesiology** uses muscle testing to access the body's own intelligence about what is imbalanced and what is needed. The body does not lie. Through kinesiology, we can identify imbalances in the chakra system, the meridians, the nervous system, and the emotional body — and apply precise corrections that allow the system to return to its own natural equilibrium. This work can address everything from allergies and nutritional imbalances to financial patterns, phobias, relationship dynamics, and spiritual path alignment.
**Shamanic Healing** is among the oldest healing arts on earth. Drawing on my training as a full Mesa-carrier through the Four Winds School, I work directly with the luminous energy field — the energetic body that surrounds and informs the physical — through practices including Illumination, Soul Retrieval, and Divination. Shamanic work is particularly powerful for soul loss: the fragmenting of the essential self that can follow significant trauma, grief, or overwhelming experience. It addresses the soul's history, not just the present moment.
**Reiki** channels universal life-force energy — the same energy that animates all living things — to restore balance, ease tension, and support the body's own healing intelligence. As a Reiki Master Teacher with seven master certifications across multiple lineages, I bring decades of experience to this practice. Reiki asks nothing of you except receptivity. It is gentle, non-invasive, and deeply restorative — available in person or across distance, because healing energy is not limited by space.
**Intuitive Readings and Divination** offer a different kind of healing: the healing of clarity. When we do not know what is happening, why it is happening, or what we are being called toward, the uncertainty itself becomes a source of suffering. Through clairvoyant readings, Shamanic Divination, Flame Card readings, and other spirit-guided practices, I access information from beyond the ordinary — helping you understand your situation, your pattern, or your path with a depth and specificity that can be profoundly relieving.
Is It Right for You?
Spiritual healing is not for everyone at every moment. There are times when what is needed is a good physician, a skilled therapist, or simply rest and nourishment. I do not position any of what I offer as a replacement for those things.
But spiritual healing may be exactly what you need if:
- You are experiencing health challenges that conventional medicine has not been able to resolve or fully explain - You feel energetically depleted, spiritually dry, or disconnected from a sense of meaning and aliveness - You are navigating grief, trauma, or loss and sense that you need more than talk therapy alone - You find yourself repeating the same patterns in relationships, finances, health, or career — despite genuine effort to change - You feel a persistent sense that a part of you is missing, or that you have never fully returned from a difficult experience - You are in the middle of a significant life transition and want to be accompanied at the soul level, not just the practical one
These are the thresholds I am trained to meet. Not to fix, not to rescue — but to accompany you in the work of returning to yourself.
A Final Word
Healing, at its deepest level, is always a homecoming. It is the return of energy to where it belongs, the reintegration of what has been fragmented, the restoration of the body's own knowing about what it needs and what it is capable of. Spiritual healing does not impose healing from outside. It creates the conditions — energetically, soulically, spiritually — for the healing that is already possible within you to actually happen.
